FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
John Zachman to Present at The Open Group Conference in San Diego
Colorado Springs, CO, USA -- Jan. 27, 2015 – John A. Zachman is set to present at The Open Group Conference in San Diego, CA on Feb. 3, 2015.
Join John Zachman, along with Dr. Beryl Bellman and Cort Coghill of the FEAC® Institute, at the Open Group Conference February 2-5, 2015.
The Zachman Framework™ is considered the foundation and historical basis for all Enterprise Architecture. The Zachman Framework does not stand in competition or opposition with other frameworks; rather it should be understood as the Zachman Framework "AND" - not "OR".
On February 3, at the Open Group Conference in San Diego, John A. Zachman (the creator of the Zachman Framework) will present the significance of the distinction between primitives and composites in an architecture and the importance of understanding the Zachman Framework as an ontology that is basic to a methodology that produces composites or models. This will be discussed in relation to the Architecture Development Method (ADM) and the metamodels comprising TOGAF®.
After what will surely be a highly interactive and exciting panel discussion, that same afternoon John will be joined by Dr. Beryl Bellman, Academic Director, FEAC Institute, and Cort Coghill, Director of Education Operations, FEAC Institute, in a hands-on workshop with several key takeaways:
- What is the Zachman ontology and how does it relate to TOGAF
- The importance of distinguishing architecture primitives from composite models and artifacts
- Why TOGAF as a methodology is more powerful with a consistent underlying ontology like the Zachman Framework
There is still time to sign up and hear John Zachman's perspective on this important topic!
